Odyssey VC project selected as part of €40 million Disruptive Technology Innovation Fund from Enterprise Ireland

The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar TD, the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris TD and the Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Dara Calleary TD today announced that 11 innovative projects have been approved funding of up to €40 million in the first tranche of awards under the fourth round of the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund.

Odyssey VC are delighted to announce their involvement in a consortium supporting FeelTect Ltd on the Heallntel project, capturing multifaceted data to enable data-driven improvements to products and protocols associated with measuring and monitoring compression therapy and wound care. Also included in the consortium are Armour Interactive Ltd and the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).

Odyssey VC’s CompliantCloud solution, that will support HealIntel’s software compliance requirements, reflects their capabilities in overseeing risk management, mitigation, change and configuration management, and incident handling. They will also continue to support the Compliant DevOps framework for HealIntel. The Odyssey VC solution will facilitate the automation of activities necessary for cloud infrastructure and cloud application development in compliance with global healthcare regulations.

Odyssey VC CEO, Oisin Curran, reflected on this momentous win for all involved:

“This is an exciting time for the development of disruptive technologies in the Irish pharmaceutical, MedTech and healthcare space and this fund from Enterprise Ireland will ensure this continues. Working with Feeltect and the consortium on such an innovative project is fantastic for us at Odyssey VC, where we will see our solutions becoming a foundational toolset used to support a Compliant DevOps framework. The use of our CompliantCloud solution in this project means compliance and security will be built into the HealIntel platform in the most efficient way possible from the start”

A key component in the success of technical innovation in life sciences is to support and accelerate the availability of compliant cloud solutions. Odyssey VC make cloud technology solutions more compliant and readily available in the industry and will continue to work with HealIntel to ensure their data security and software compliance requirements are fulfilled using industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices as this project evolves.
